STEM and Literacy Academy for Low-Income Students
Research shows that low-income students suffer the most from learning disruptions due to the pandemic. Many families struggle with online learning; barriers include access to home wifi, language barriers and time constraints due to working families needing to guide their students virtual learning. The Foundation for Academic Endeavors (FAE) strengthens access to summer learning opportunities for disadvantaged children so they can begin each school year with the skills needed to be successful. Our program is affordable and loved by the community. Since 2015, FAE has served over 1,000 low-income students. Over 92% of our academy students have NOT experienced summer learning loss and 44% increased one or more reading grade levels.
