Science and Technology Camp for Girls

Encouraging opportunities for girls in the fields of science and technology are core to the values of the American Association of University Women.

The Stanwood-Camano Branch of AAUW seeks support to offer scholarships in summer 2024 to in-coming 8th grade girls in our area to attend Tech Trek, a week-long residential science and technology camp at Pacific Lutheran University. Hands-on STEM learning, taught by engaging career professionals, may be key to encouraging young women to consider these fields of study. Such opportunities can be pivotal to girls at an age when they are beginning to formulate their goals and aspirations. Stanwood-Camano  AAUW is hoping to raise $2800 to send two additional campers to Tech Trek.
