The American Association of University Women (AAUW) advances equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy.
Description of Services
AAUW Washington provides leadership and training to invigorate and inform local branches and affiliates, and advocates as one voice to achieve our state objectives and support the national mission of advancing gender equity for women and girls. Our Stanwood-Camano branch has monthly meetings supporting this, co-sponsors a candidate and issues forum night with the Stanwood Camano News every October, attends Lobby Day in Olympia in January, awards scholarships to college students from this area, and sends girls to the AAUW Tech Trek Camp each summer.
