SHS Future Business Leaders of America

Project

Leadership Development for High School Students

Mission

FBLA’s mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

Program Outcome

My name is Amber Boyd, a Senior and 4-year member of Stanwood High School FBLA. I have served as the Public Relations officer, and the VP of Community Relations for the past two years. FBLA has given me the opportunity to work directly with many local, successful business owners through the Camano Island and Stanwood Chamber of Commerce. I served as an Chamber Intern last year and plan to continue this year as well. In FBLA, I have learned so many professional skills ranging from preparing presentations, interviewing people, planning and producing community events and how to maintain accurate records when selling tickets and handling money. FBLA has ignited a passion to continue my post-secondary education and pursue a degree in business. FBLA is a safe place for any student in 9-12 grade to develop productive, tangible and real-world skills. Thank you for considering Stanwood FBLA.
