Hope Unlimited

Project

Free Support to Local Single-Parent Families.

Mission

The mission of Hope Unlimited Single Family Life (SFL) is to improve the quality of life for single parents and their children.  We will accomplish this by offering them a safe place and program where they are welcomed and encouraged.  Trained leadership will provide resources to strengthen the spiritual and emotional health of the family.

Description of Services

A unique and non-threatening approach to helping families who find themselves with one parent.  This will be accomplished by a series of weekly meetings in a fun, family-friendly environment where non-threatening discussions and learning take place. Each week the free of charge program begins with a family-style dinner for families and leaders. This is followed by breakout facilitated discussion for adults and character-building activities for children.  In addition: we offer periodic group outings for fun and fellowship.

Testimonial

I have five children ranging from age five to fourteen.  My oldest is autistic and bipolar.  Three and a half years ago my husband left his job and us and never returned.  Being both mom and dad, and trying to attend all of my kids events and take care of their emotional and physical needs makes for a good deal of stress.  A friend told me about Single Family Life. At first I was unsure, but soon learned this was the place for me. There is no doubt this is one of the best decisions I have ever made.  SFL is a place where my children and I feel welcomed and safe.  We definitely feel accepted and loved. It means a lot to be with other families walking our same path.  We are supportive of each other and are learning how to be stronger.
