Soap Box Derby Opportunities for Youth

The mission of the Arrowhead Ranch Foundation is to generate resources to foster innovation, collaboration and technical knowledge in people of all ages while equipping them with the tools they need to build the world they imagine.

Description of Services

Through the Arrowhead Ranch Foundation, the Arrowhead Ranch has become a place for the community to come together, try new things, and share experiences.

The Soap Box Derby is an annual event held at Arrowhead Ranch on Camano Island. Children ages 7-19 have the opportunity to build and race an official soap box car. Currently this Soap Box Derby is the 2nd largest in the world! Winners of the Derby go on to race at the All-American Soap Box Derby World Championship in Akron, Ohio!
The Arrowhead Ranch Foundation not only sustains the Arrowhead Ranch as a safe, dedicated space for the annual Stanwood-Camano Island Soap Box Derby, but it also makes scholarships available to children who want to race but can’t afford it. The Soap Box Derby offers a rare opportunity to bring together children, businesses and the entire community.
