Description of Services

The Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The YMCA of Snohomish County has been serving and strengthening communities since 1901 and has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change. The Y offers programs, services, and initiatives to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the health and well-being of our community, and provide opportunities to give back and support our neighbors. Currently, the YMCA of Snohomish County has 6 branches to serve our local communities within Snohomish and Island Counties: Everett, Marysville, Mukilteo, Mill Creek, Monroe and our newest branch in Stanwood-Camano.

Program Outcome

“LIVESTRONG at the YMCA has made an incredible difference in my recovery form breast cancer. The treatments had slowed down my metabolism and there were so many daily activities I couldn’t do. The coaches are patient and kind and showed me how to build up my strength, without overdoing it. The survivors in the group all are warm and friendly. Now, I am proud of what I can do. I feel like a different person.” Michelle, LIVESTRONG participant.
