The Community Resource Center of Stanwood Camano strives to build a healthier and stronger community through positive relationships, education, programs, and support services.
The CRC envisions an inclusive, thriving and connected community, one in which all members experience enriched and empowered lives.
Description of Services
The Community Resource Center of Stanwood Camano provides many different opportunities for community members to connect and thrive. Three of the core services offered include Resources, Early Learning, and Teen programs.
Through their Resources Program, individuals and families can receive financial assistance to prevent discontinuation of necessary services, eviction, and other basic needs in addition to helping children, families and communities thrive and connect. Staff and volunteers provide individual support, skill building, and resource information to people and families in our community at no cost. They help individuals and families achieve their goals.
Through their Early Learning Program, the CRC offers a variety of play and learn opportunities for children 0-5 years old, caregiver support, and parenting classes. The purpose of this program is to set children up for both learning success and emotional development. Through these programs, the CRC is supporting the 360 Kindergarten Readiness initiative led by the Making Life Work community collaboration.
Teen Programs offer a safe place for teens to come and connect with their friends and peers while engaging in various classes and fun events. Many of the programs are free and offered to students in grades 7-12. Current Teen Programs include: Makers Guild, CRC Music Project, A/V Club, Teen Late Night, and Civics Club.
Through the multitude of offerings at the CRC, The Community Resource Center strives not only to be a gathering place but also a place that helps connect people to resources within the community.
